About this network

MK-UKIM-1 belongs to Univerzitet "Sv. Kiril i Metodij", the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. It is North Macedonia's oldest and largest university, founded in 1949.

What it's used for

• Campus networking for the university's faculties, institutes, libraries, and student services in Skopje.

Notable

• An institutional network. Addresses here belong to university departments, labs and campus users rather than to paying subscribers, so they behave nothing like a commercial ISP's pool.
• Academic networks were among the earliest to join the internet in most countries, which is a common reason a university ends up holding a low AS number.
