About this network

SBS-AS2 is held by Atos Bilişim Danışmanlık ve Müşteri Hizmetleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., the Turkish arm of the IT services group Atos, based at Yakacık Cad. in Kartal, Istanbul.

What it's used for

• IT outsourcing and managed services for Turkish enterprise customers. The AS announces 212.133.128.0/18 plus one more-specific /24 — roughly 16k IPv4 addresses — and is single-homed, with just one observed BGP neighbour. That is an end-site/managed-services footprint, not a carrier.

Notable

• The SBS in the handle is Siemens Business Services. Atos absorbed Siemens IT Solutions and Services in 2011, and the AS handle was never renamed — a fossil of the previous holder rather than anything to do with the current name.
• The A.Ş. suffix is anonim şirket, the Turkish joint-stock company form. It is a corporate suffix, not a network term.
• No IPv6 is announced.
• No reverse DNS is delegated on the announced space — the in-addr.arpa zones under 133.212 return no nameservers at all, so the /18 is dark in reverse rather than merely missing PTRs. Unremarkable for corporate and client-facing systems that are reached by forward name, but it does mean there is no direct evidence of what the block carries: the classification rests on the holder, the ATOSMAINNET registration and the single-homed end-site shape.
