AS8373 — DEUBA-NET Germany

AS8373 announces 8 IPv4 prefixes covering 12,288 addresses and 1 IPv6 prefixes.

About this network

DEUBA-NET — the corporate network of Deutsche Bank AG, Germany's largest bank. DEUBA is the bank's own long-standing internal abbreviation (Deutsche Bank).

What it's used for

• Enterprise banking IT: internal systems, offices and public-facing services. Around 13,000 IPv4 addresses, largely inside the legacy 160.83.0.0/16 block, plus ARIN-registered 129.35.230.0/23 and RIPE 185.157.32.0/22 and 193.150.166.0/23 ranges. The little public rDNS present includes db24.de, the bank's German retail-banking domain.

Notable

• A bank's own network, not a hosting or access provider. None of this is customer address space in the ISP sense.
• The mix of ARIN and RIPE prefixes reflects a global institution registering addresses in more than one region, not an assembled inventory: the blocks are registered to Deutsche Bank itself.
• Very few BGP neighbours, which is what an enterprise network looks like — it buys transit, it does not sell it.
