AS6794 — ASN-HRTNET # AS-HRTNET CONVERTED TO ASN-HRTNET FOR RPSL COMPLIANCE

AS6794 announces 1 IPv4 prefixes covering 2,048 addresses and 0 IPv6 prefixes.

About this network

ASN-HRTNET — the network of Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT), Croatia's public service broadcaster.

What it's used for

• HRT's own corporate and broadcast IT network: newsroom and production systems, online services, and staff connectivity.
• It announces a single provider-independent block, 213.5.56.0/21, registered as HRT-HR.

Notable

• This is a broadcaster's in-house network, not a service provider — none of the space is sold on as transit or hosting.
• The RIPE object still carries the note that the handle was converted from AS-HRTNET to ASN-HRTNET for RPSL compliance, a leftover from the migration of the old RIPE database syntax.

Interesting

• National broadcasters that hold their own AS number are relatively uncommon; most sit behind a carrier. HRT running its own PI space and BGP reflects the broadcast industry's need for tightly controlled contribution and distribution paths.
