AS59951 — FK

AS59951 announces 2 IPv4 prefixes covering 1,280 addresses and 2 IPv6 prefixes.

About this network

The AS handle FK is held by Falu Kommun, the municipal government of Falun in Dalarna County, Sweden.

What it's used for

• The address space carries municipal infrastructure, evidenced by the netnames SE-FALUKOMMUN-20171128 and SE-FALUN, and a reverse DNS entry gwklack.falun.se indicating a gateway for the municipality's internal network.
• The AS announces 1,280 IPv4 addresses across 2 prefixes and 2 IPv6 prefixes, with only 2 observed neighbours, indicating a small, self-contained network rather than a transit or large-scale access provider.
• Traffic from this AS consists of municipal administrative and public service endpoints, supporting the operations of the local government and its digital services for residents.

Notable

• The registrants for both announced prefixes are explicitly listed as Falu Kommun, with specific roles for NOC and abuse handling, confirming direct ownership and operation by the municipality.
• The inventory is compact, consisting of one /22 and one /24 block in IPv4, along with two IPv6 prefixes, reflecting a modest footprint appropriate for a single municipality's IT infrastructure.
