About this network

The campus network of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, the country's largest and oldest public university, headquartered in Bogotá.

What it's used for

• Connectivity for the university's campuses, faculties, libraries and research groups, on the legacy 168.176.0.0/16 block it announces as a /16 plus many more-specific /24s.
• Carries academic and research traffic for a multi-campus national institution.

Notable

• Institutional address space: students, staff and research systems, not paying subscribers.
• A full class-B allocation reflects the university's early role in Colombian academic networking, well before addresses were rationed.
