About this network

Autonomous System 4822 (NATIONAL-LIBRARY-AU) is the primary AS of the National Library of Australia, the country's national deposit library in Canberra.

What it's used for

• Connectivity for the Library's own networks and for the public-facing services it hosts, including its catalogue and its large digital collections.
• The Library operates Trove, the national discovery service that aggregates catalogue records, digitised newspapers and archived Australian web content.

Notable

• A government cultural institution running its own AS rather than sitting behind a department's network: the address space here fronts collection and discovery services used by researchers and the public, not an eyeball user base.
• The registration is marked as the Library's primary AS, a convention used when an organisation intends to run more than one.
