About this network

GM-AS is operated by GRASS-MERKUR GmbH & Co. KG.

What it's used for

• The address space carries cloud and data center infrastructure, evidenced by the reverse DNS record vcclab-ui.gm-cloud.de and netnames such as GRASS-MERKUR-PI-NET.
• With 1280 IPv4 addresses and 1 IPv6 prefix announced against only 2 observed neighbours, the network functions as a hosting and cloud provider rather than a transit carrier.
• Traffic from this AS consists of web and API endpoints, cloud workloads, and managed services for enterprise clients, consistent with GRASS-MERKUR's business of operating data centers and providing colocation and cloud services.

Notable

• Registrants for the two largest prefixes (193.29.252.0/23 and 195.216.198.0/23) align with the announcer, listing GRASS-MERKUR GmbH & Co. KG and WEBDISCOUNT Network Operations.
• The prefix 195.200.243.0/24 is registered to INS Consulting GmbH under the netname INS-ONLINE, indicating a distinct or leased segment within the AS.
• The inventory is small and finely subdivided into three IPv4 prefixes, typical of a specialized hosting provider managing specific service segments.
