AS39879 — SVC-AS

AS39879 announces 1 IPv4 prefixes covering 256 addresses and 1 IPv6 prefixes.

About this network

The AS handle SVC-AS is held by Sozialversicherungs-Chipkarten Betriebs- und Errichtungsgesellschaft m.b.H. (SVC).

What it's used for

• The address space carries internal infrastructure for the Austrian social security system, evidenced by the reverse DNS record awp2.int.esv.sozialversicherung.at and the netname SVC-AT.
• The inventory consists of 256 IPv4 addresses within a single /24 prefix and one IPv6 /48 prefix, with only 2 observed neighbours, indicating a small, isolated internal network rather than a transit or access provider.
• Traffic from this AS consists of internal administrative and operational endpoints for the social security chip card infrastructure, not public subscriber or web traffic.

Notable

• The RDAP registrant for the announced prefix is listed as "Host Master Highway" with netname SVC-AT, which aligns with the SVC identity but uses a generic hostmaster handle.
• The address inventory is minimal and finely subdivided, consistent with a dedicated corporate or government estate for specific operational purposes.
