About this network

WCGNC is the autonomous system for Wake County Government.

What it's used for

• The space carries internal government network operations, evidenced by the netname NETBLK-CONCERT-CIDR1 and registrant MCNC; NCREN Hostmaster.
• The AS announces 256 IPv4 addresses across 1 prefix with 1 observed neighbour, indicating a small, self-contained internal estate rather than a transit or access provider.

Notable

• The registrant MCNC; NCREN Hostmaster differs from the AS holder Wake County Government, reflecting the historical relationship between the county and the Metropolitan Council for Network Computing (MCNC) which managed the network infrastructure.
• The address inventory consists of a single /24 block, 198.85.228.0/24, with no IPv6 prefixes announced.
