About this network

ELECTRON-SERVICE-AS — Electron-Service Ltd., a regional internet provider in Kiselyovsk, Kemerovo Oblast, in Russia's Kuzbass coal-mining region.

What it's used for

• Fibre and FTTx broadband for apartments and private homes in Kiselyovsk and nearby parts of the Kemerovo region, plus corporate connections.
• Cable television and interactive IPTV alongside the internet service.
• Adjacent physical-security services — video surveillance, access control, intercoms — sold to the same local customer base.

Notable

• Eyeball address space: expect residential subscribers behind these addresses, concentrated in one small city rather than spread across a region.
• The multi-service local operator (internet + TV + intercoms + cameras) is a common shape in Russian regional cities, where one company ends up owning most of the wiring in a building.

Interesting

• The company has been operating in the Kemerovo region for over two decades, which is a long run for an independent provider in a market where regional ISPs are steadily bought up by the national carriers.
