About this network

The AS handle UNE-AS-AP is held by The University of New England.

What it's used for

• The address space carries university infrastructure, evidenced by the netname UNE-ARMIDALE-AU and registrant THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND - network administra.
• The AS announces 65536 IPv4 addresses within a single /16 prefix (129.180.0.0/16) and one IPv6 prefix (2001:df0:ce::/48). With only 1 observed neighbour, this indicates a self-contained academic network rather than a transit provider.

Notable

• The registrant THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND - network administra aligns perfectly with the AS holder UNE-AS-AP.
• The address inventory consists of a single contiguous IPv4 block and a single IPv6 prefix, typical of a dedicated institutional allocation.
• Note that the web sources reference a different institution (University of New England in Maine, USA), which is distinct from this Australian operator.
