AS18053 — SNET-AS-AP Special Communication Organization

AS18053 announces 6 IPv4 prefixes covering 7,168 addresses and 1 IPv6 prefixes.

About this network

SNET-AS-AP is the AS handle for Special Communication Organization, a Pakistani telecommunications provider.

What it's used for

• The address space carries both corporate and third-party traffic, evidenced by netnames SNET-PK and WORLDCALL and reverse DNS entries like 118-107-139-254.snet.net.pk and wtl.worldcall.net.pk.
• With 6912 IPv4 addresses announced across 5 prefixes and only 2 observed neighbours, the ratio indicates an access or eyeball network rather than a transit provider.

Notable

• Registrants do not fully align with the announcer; while Special Communication Organization holds the largest blocks, WORLDCALL TELECOM LIMITED is the registrant for three of the five announced IPv4 prefixes.
• The address inventory is split between the primary holder and Worldcall Telecom, suggesting a relationship such as a subsidiary, partnership, or leased space arrangement.
• The AS has been visible in routing tables since 2002, indicating a long-standing presence in the Pakistani internet infrastructure.
